Been in Washington DC all weekend exploring. On the drive home now, got a chance to check out some of the images I took on my phone. So, here’s a random photo post. I need to get back to bumping Trevor Moore’s new comedy record and Macklemore now. Enjoy!

The Oven Chainsaw Massacre (aka second round of deer jerky). So this is pretty much what I’ve been up to, besides work.

May have a few art opportunities coming up in March (finally). I’m hoping that will give me an extra boost of motivation to get back into the photo game.
I’m beginning to find new inspirations, which actually have been right in front of me the whole time. It’s weird how as humans we try to force ourselves to do certain things, be certain things, especially when it comes to art. I think I’m finally beginning to get out of the commercial art mindset, and starting to do things because I want to. There are no clients to please in fine art, only yourself.
Anyways, yep. Deer jerky, artistic revelations, taking over the Gap Inc Direct OFC warehouse. My life currently.

Some things

Starting to follow Cillian Murphy and Tom Hardy  blogs was probably one of the smartest decisions I’ve made this month.

On a totally unrelated note, I got tickets to see the Whitest Kids U’ Know in DC next month.

Also, Old Crow, the Mumfords, and Edward Sharpe are having a camping weekend tour stop over thing about 2 hours from my house at the end of summer.

Year. Made. Already.

Happy weekend

I don’t usually post material that isn’t my own, “Lament” by the band Mount Moriah has planted itself in my brain for the duration. Great, GREAT song.

**This is NOT my property. All music/images property of Mount Moriah and Merge Records. **

Purge

Deleted nearly half, and untagged myself from a bunch of photos Facebook. Got rid of quite a few friends as well.

Sifted through my Flickr page and got rid of quite a few photos there too.

It feels good.

Everything is dumb.

Thinking of taking a hiatus on this whole interweb social networking thing for a little while. Going through some personal shit, trying to get back some drive, motivation, and focus and time wasters like Facebook and Tumblr simply will not do.
Deleted the Facebook app from my phone, and am severley cutting back on signing in (still gotta stay in touch with friends on other countries). I have already lost the impulse to use it, and it’s only been 2 days.
Tumblr is a lot less annoying, so I’ll still probably spend some time scrolling through all the sweet pics people post on a regular basis (sometimes you just need Grumpy Cat and beards) but my personal updates will more than likely be few and far between for a bit.
I hope you all stick with me on this, I appreciate all the likes and reblogs I recieve more than you know. Until next time, cheers folks!

YEA, I was just in a movie theater for 10 hours…WHAT OF IT?!
Seriously tho, I saw The Hobbit, Lincoln immediately after, and once I took a break to stretch my legs, I finished out the day with Django Unchained. It was the first time I’ve done three films back to back and I must say that although all were quite different, I really can’t choose one as a favorite over another.
All I know is that after seeing the always amazing DDL as Lincoln, then Dicaprio in what I hope is one of many collabs with Tarantino….I just wanna watch Gangs of New York.

Happy Good Year

I’m not normally all “Happy new year!” unless someone says it to me first, but as I left work tonight, I heard a little Asian lady turn to a friend and cheerfully exclaim “Happy good year, or whatever you say!”. I liked it so much that I’ll probably just stick with saying that the rest of my life. Not only is the year NEW, but its GOOD.

Yea, even though I got three bottles of whiskey for x-mas, and have a table full of liquor infusions I STILL bought a bunch of booze today. Growler of barleywine (11%) from Barley’s, a 4 pack of Sierra Nevada Narwhal imperial stout and a bottle of Brothers Drake Apple Pie mead.

The Beard and I decided to exchange our gifts early before Krampus takes us away to eat us. The Beard got my this little guy. I’d like you to meet Timothy the Tentacled. Timothy, this is everyone.
